On November 21, 2025, New Jersey Governor-Elect Mikie Sherrill named Wilentz, Goldman & Spitzer, P.A. Shareholder, Everett M. Johnson, as a member of the Fiscal Responsibility and Government Accountability transition team. As part of the transition team, Everett will play a key role in shaping a plan to provide guidance to Governor-Elect Sherrill as she takes office in 2026. 

Everett is co-chair of the Public Finance Team and the firm’s Equal Opportunity Committee. He is also President of the Essex County Board of Taxation and a Certified Public Accountant.
